I’m going to come right out and say it: I’m 62 years old. Because I am, I’ve noticed my body needs a bit more support in the hormone department. And since I love my body and all the great places it takes me, I want to do right by it.

One thing I do is eat four Brazilian nuts a day for the natural selenium they provide.

Why is selenium important? You need this trace element to regulate thyroid function, protect against skin and breast cancer (especially those with the BRCA1 gene), help prevent mercury toxicity, and are a great natural mood enhancer.

They work. I notice I feel more intense and not like me if I skip a day of eating these wonderful nuts. I love this simple remedy. Who wouldn’t want to feel calmer, peaceful, sane! I buy my Brazilian nuts from a trusted natural food store. I get about two cups at a time and store them in the refrigerator to keep from going rancid.
