Listening, learning, expanding my way through Ireland

One week in Ireland and my word is expansion—waist (the food is so good!), driving skills (yikes to these narrow roads and opposite side driving), and energy (stone circles, faerie glens, and ancient forests).

Case in point is the picture of me standing next to a tree that I have a serious crush on. Look at my legs. I look like I’m ten feel tall! Total portal to a different energy field. I took a picture of Renee (my travel partner) and the same thing happened.

Ireland is definitely a world of magical realms with a population who firmly believes in them. I’m thrilled to be among the believers.

It’s also interesting how everyone kind of looks like my family. I could swear I saw Aunt Doris’s double and Uncle Bob’s twin. I see people who look just like the Irish families I know in the States.

And the people themselves are funny and honest and helpful in the roundabout way they have of going on with a long story to a yes or no question. I do that. But now I have a reason for this peculiarity in my personality—DNA. 😊

I’ve seen a lot more farming here then I thought I would. So much seems similar to what I see in Wisconsin—beautiful hills and valleys, patchwork fields, lots of cattle, and hidden streams. And like home, no matter the pub the talk is always on family, neighbors, and friends. I’ve yet to hear anything political or worldly.

As for me and my healing—I’m still struggling some with the leg and energy level. Newgrange was a cool experience and I felt tingles go through me when inside the passage chamber, but no earth-shattering revelations or instant healing. I spent some time on a gorgeous beach with incredible rocky cliffs. The energy was soaring. I laid on a boulder and heard: Child of the Isle, let your mother take care of you now.

So, I’m trying to do just that. I entered the largest and oldest stone circle in Ireland—6000 years, and did my best to listen without thought. I climbed 110 steps to the faerie glen of Lough Gur and felt my heart lighten. I found out where there’s a healing wellspring and faerie ring 2 miles from where I’m staying, and I’m going to have an intuitive energy session (Tuesday, Sept 4) with a wise and magical Irish lass.

Of course, I’m also visiting the lands of my ancestors in Tipperary town and Gort, and doing a daytrip tour of the Cliffs of Moher, Galway Bay, Aran Islands, and sitting a spell in an old-fashioned pub where all the singing is loud, smokey, and Irish. I have to do these things or I won’t be able to show my head for shame brought to my family for not embracing my Irish. 😉

I’ll close for now and once again wish you well from the Emerald Isle. May you enjoy a healthy, happy, interesting week, and me too!

And as always, I’m available for private sessions if you need deeper understanding, support, or guidance in the form of energy work or intuitive life coachingClick this link to schedule.
