How to train your mind to accept a compliment

Have you ever given someone a compliment and they all but refuse it?

“Beautiful? Me? You’re crazy. I have the worst hair and need to lose at least 10 pounds. But thanks, anyway.”

Uh-huh. You know what I’m talking about. Everyone can see what they can’t. Why is that?

Well…nothing can exist for you that’s not in your mind.

If you can’t fathom yourself beautiful, then you won’t experience yourself as beautiful. It won’t matter how many times you’re told that you are.

Fortunately, the mind can be trained.

Start by looking for one thing about your body you can fully appreciate, like your feet. Aren’t your feet great, because without them how would you walk? And oh, don’t you love your tongue? Without your tongue how could you swallow? And what about your strong neck that keeps your head from flopping backwards? Well, you get the point.

Start finding all the things about yourself you’d miss if you didn’t have them, and fully appreciate what they do for you.

Your body is amazing. And crazy as it sounds, by fully appreciating your body in a conscious, deliberate way, you’re literally reprograming your brain to look for the good.

By the way, this works for ALL compliments whether it’s about a talent you refuse to acknowledge, the home you live in, your family, everything.

Retrain your brain to be on the hunt for the good in everything in your life.

Now, if you want to dive deep into why you refuse compliments in the first place, book an energy session with me. We’ll figure it out and transform the crap out of it!
